How to Use Cain and Abel Xbox One

I'm going to be teaching you guys mainly newer members that don't know how to use Cain and Abel how to use it and grab IP's off of xbox live.

Requirements

-Xbox
- PC
-Both Wired to modem

1. Getting started

First things first to get started you need to download Cain and Abel. Once there download the version that corresponds to your pc for most people it should be Cain & Abel v4.9.43 for Windows NT/2000/XP.

2. Install

Once you have Downloaded the file your going to install it to your computer to a directory of your choice. Once that finishes it asks you to install winpcap make sure you do that as well and once finished move on to step 3.

3. Setup Sniffer

When you first open up the program it may look just a little scary there's many different features you may or may not have a clue as to what they are for.

with the program opened you need to look for the configure tab which is at the top of the program next to view once you find it click on it.

This takes you to the configuration tab labeled sniffer which is exactly where you want to be from here you are going to find the ip of your computer and click it ( If you don't know how to get your computer ip there will be a short explanation at the end of this tut) after you've selected your ip you are going to check the box that is labeled don't use promiscuous mode. Click Apply then ok and now you've set up Cain and Abel.

4.Getting your xbox ip.

Now what we are going to do is click the little symbol at the top of the program between the folder and the nuke. This activates the sniffer. Once it is activated click the sniffer tab in the program window and you will see a blank white screen with some lines and labels. Now you are going to click in the white space anywhere and the grey plus at the top of the screen will turn blue when it does you need to click on it.

In this new window you will see a label that says target make sure it targets all host in subnet and just click ok.

once finished you need to look under OUI fingerprint for Microsoft Corporation and also look for your router name.

When you find those to look at their corresponding Ip addresses and write them down.

5. ARP
Now for the actual rerouting of the IP's

This is surprisingly very simple to do look at the very bottom of the program and you will see a tab labeled arp you're going to click this tab.

from here you will see two white spaces similar to the last one you got your ip's from you want to click the top one which is skinny and then click the blue plus again.

a menu will pop up with all those ip's from earlier on the left your going to click the one for your router and after you do all those ip's appear in the right box and over there you will click the one for Microsoft corporation.

Now click ok and if you did it right the top white box will show your ip on the left with your microsoft ip on the right. The connection status will say idle.

Now all you have to do is sign into xbox live and join a game once in make sure your sniffer is turned on and then click the nuke symbol and all the ip addresses in that game will appear in the bottom box just be careful there is an ip address that begins with a 65.xx.xx.xx
which is microsoft's servers.

Well that does it for setting up Cain and Abel to pull ip's from xbox live happy flooding

6. Extra finding your ip via command prompt

As I said above if you don't know how to do this all you have to do is go into the start menu and type cmd which opens the command prompt then just type ipconfig and scroll all the way to the top and look for the IPv4 address which will be the address for your router.

Troubleshoot: If you get disconnected when poisonning or when you stop poisonning, you WILL need a second modem where you will plug the ethernet from computer and the one from the xbox into. Then follow the steps above with the second modem.
